On this page we will guide you through the process to get your Designs43 Website up and running. There is quite a lot of information to guide you and it is well worth reading through as a good understanding will make the process run smoothly!
We have laid out the steps in a logical order and tried to keep our explanations as non-technical as possible. However, for those who are curious or are more technically minded, we also include some more detailed information in the right column, and there is also a page 'Menu' above to help you navigate to different sections.

What'sIncluded?
Your Designs43 Website includes all of the following features as standard, plus any other functionality that is included in our proposal in order to fulfil your requirements. Additional options are also available.
Your custom designed WordPress based website, including our own SiteManager43 modifications, tweaks, and features to make using and running your website straightforward and hassle-free. The website will be fully configured, including any plugins needed to give the functionality required.
You website comes pre-configured with two user accounts:
A "Website Owner" account that gives you access to the everyday functions that you need to run your website, without cluttering up the dashboard with an overwhelming number of options and settings. You can request additional user accounts of this type, as required.
A master "Administrator" account that gives you complete control of all website settings. This level of access is important to have in case you want to use a third party developer to do work on your website, to carry out more advanced changes, or to transfer your website to a different hosting environment, for example.
Designs43 will never try to limit access to your website in any way - it belongs to you - but we have a proven setup that makes it easy for you to use effectively.
Every website is delivered together with an owner's manual which will give you a good overview of your website and the parts that it is constructed from, together with information about how to use and maintain it. One copy can be found within your website admin dashboard, and we send you another copy on a USB pen-drive. This is particularly important if you decide not to invest in one of our continued Support Packages.
We provide all of our websites with business grade security and hacking protection, including protection built into the website itself, including two-factor authorisation (2FA) and ReCaptcha, for your login area, as well as a whole host of other fully configured protections. Clients who opt for one of our hosting packages also benefit from server-level built in DDoS (Distributed Denial Of Service) Protection and Web Application Firewalls - other website hosting may also offer similar protection.
We are confident enough in our security measures to offer all clients a HackFree Guarantee with all of the websites that we build. If your site gets hacked, we will clean and restore your website without charge. This guarantee extends to 3 months from handover of your website or, if you are subscribing to our Hosting and/or Support Packages, for as long as you continue to do so.
It's critically important for a business to project a professional image to customers and clients. All of our websites come with an unlimited number of email accounts () which can be accessed using CROSSBOX.io (the King of Webmail!), a great productivity tool that is included with our website hosting, or via RoundCube Webmail for those who just want something simple.
We can also show you how to integrate your professional email address with your existing Gmail or Outlook/Hotmail account if this suits you better. For those with the need for even more email and productivity tools, we are also an approved Google Workspace partner.
We don't put a limit on the size of your mailbox either!*

WebsiteHosting
Our proposals will normally include a website hosting solution for your website. Hosting is required for any website and comprises of the space on a computer server that holds your website code files, database, and email accounts. We have various different levels of hosting available, from high quality "shared" hosting, up to elastic cloud and dedicated servers, all of which are priced very competitively. Our recommendation will be based upon the complexity of the website and the likely amount of visitor traffic, and will be reviewed on an annual basis - or more frequently if you make a request. Server centre locations are available in London, UK, or Chicago, USA, depending on your target audience.
Hosting is normally billed on a monthly or annual basis, with a discount for the annual payment option. Prices start at £6.99/month.
We don't force you to use our in-house hosting if you already have a preferred or existing platform, however, we are unable to work with low-powered, unreliable, or poor service quality hosting (such as GoDaddy, in our opinion) due to the likely impact on your website performance, SEO results, and general usability issues. We have many years of experience in hosting websites and it simply isn't worth making significant compromises to save just a small percentage of your running costs. Trust us!
We don't believe in holding our clients hostage and so you are free to move your website wherever and whenever you so wish. We hope that you do stay with us, though, and that your decision is driven by being happy with the service that we provide. So far, 100% of our clients who have taken one of our hosting packages are still with us, so we must be getting something right!

For a small setup fee, we can configure your website to provide weekly and monthly traffic reports by email, allowing you to keep track of this data without needing to log into your website. This service is FREE with any of our Support Packages.

The little icon that appears in the web browser tab that is displaying your website can be changed to match your website branding. This is normally included in our website proposals but, in case you skipped it to trim costs a little, we can add one later on. We will take care of all of the electronic design work required to produce the image.
If you need help producing content for your website, for additional pages, news, or blog articles, then we are here to help! New content on your website helps to keep it fresh and relevant - and is critical for SEO. With the assistance of our sister team at The Sheriden Charles Partnership, who have extensive experience in writing PR, advertising copy, and articles, we can make sure that your content is clear, grammatically correct, and to the point, as well as ensuring that the presentation on your website is effective and good to look at.
We can give you a quotation based on a specific item or, if you want regular help, we can put a package together that may work out as better value than lots of ad-hoc requests. If you need translations, we have a number of partnerships that may be able to provide this service at a competitive rate. Note that our Support Packages include hours that can be used for this purpose.
